All manuscripts are peer-reviewed by our experts (double-anonymized).
applicable to all journals published by EIKI ltd. including:
- Journal of Effective Teaching Methods (JETM)
- Annals of Innovation in Medicine (AIM)
- Journal of Contemporary Philosophical and Anthropological Studies (JCPAS)
Once the manuscript has been submitted electronically, it is assessed by the editor, and a decision is made on whether the article meets our publishing standards and whether it is right for the chosen journal. Then it is either rejected or accepted.
However, suppose the editor has accepted the article. In that case, it does not necessarily mean that it will be published, as it is sent further to the reviewers.
All depend on whether an author is able to carry out changes as mentioned by reviewers and is able to make necessary changes in a timely fashion.
Quite often, articles may require multiple revisions before our reviewers are satisfied. Then the article is sent again to the editor for the final decision.
Before publishing, the article undergoes final proofreading and formatting.
The peer-review process, step-by-step (kindly note that in some cases, it may differ a bit, depending on the journal):
- Paper submission
Almost always, manuscripts are submitted via an online system. It should be in the required format; thus, authors should always use relevant templates available on the journal website. We generally do not accept manuscripts sent via email, though there might be some exceptions.
- Editor-in-Chief (EIC) appraisal
This is perhaps the most vital point, as the editor goes through the article to ensure that it is interesting, original, and relevant for the readers. If an article is not relevant to the journal, it is rejected at this stage.
- Article is forwarded to peer-reviewers (peer-review process)
The reviewers review the manuscript. It is reviewed by 2 independent reviewers (double-anonymized). It is a multi-stage process. Authors may often be asked to make changes or enhancements multiple times or as needed until the reviewers are satisfied.
The authors should make the utmost effort to make needed changes in the manuscript to ensure the highest possible standards.
Thus, authors must carry out all the expected changes promptly, meeting the highest possible standards.
Generally, reviewers would categorize manuscripts as follows:
- Accepted in present form
- Accepted after minor revisions
- Reconsider only after major revision- generally, authors would be provided information about what needs to be revised, and authors are expected to carry out all the major changes within 30 days.
- Reject, but can be resubmitted- It means that the article is unfit for publication in the present form, and authors would need to significantly revise manuscripts and then resubmit the article.
- Reject- it may happen if reviewers find major flaws in the script, which means that the present manuscript cannot be reconsidered for publication.
- Accepted, Production & Publication - once accepted, the author may still need to wait for some time before the manuscript is published. After the peer-review process has finished, it undergoes final consideration by EIC. Sometimes, EIC may also ask for changes to the manuscript.
Post-acceptance, articles still undergo proofreading, and formatting, before the manuscript becomes production ready. Generally, the script is published within 15 days of final acceptance/approval by EIC.
